Relief Sale Schedule

The 45th Annual Nebraska Mennonite Relief Sale will be held April 5-6, 2024 at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Aurora, Nebraska. Check out the schedule of events below for auction start times, booth openings and when each meal is taking place.

THURSDAY

8:00a–12:00p Fairground Setup
– Help us prep the fairgrounds for the sale. Volunteers are welcome for any amount of time you can give.

FRIDAY

8:00a–3:00p Fairground Setup
– Help us prep the fairgrounds for the sale. Volunteers are welcome for any amount of time you can give.


10:00a–7:00p Donation Check-In Open

– Pre-registered items can be dropped off if the a tag is attached, otherwise please check your items in at the check-in booth.


3:30p–8:00p Bidder Numbers Available
– Bidder numbers are good for both days and can be used to purchase items at all auctions, booths, and meals.


4:00p–7:00p Evening Meal

– Sloppy Joes served with baked beans, dill pickle, chips, brownie or cookie, and a drink.


4:00p–8:00p Booth & Concessions Open

7:00p–8:00p* Friday Night Auction

– Purchase items such as meats, crafts, tools, home decor, and much more.

Saturday

7:00a–9:00a Breakfast
– Pancakes served with made-to-order eggs, sausage, coffee, and milk or juice.


8:00a–4:00p Booth & Concessions Open
– See Fairgrounds Map for additional details.


8:30a–4:30p* General Auction
– Purchase items such as meats, crafts, tools, home decor, and much more.

The General Auction takes a brief break at 10:00a for the Art Auction and then picks back up as soon as all of the art is sold.


9:00a–2:30p* Quilt Auction
– Purchase items such as quilts, comforters, wall hangings, table runners, and more.

The Quilt Auction takes a brief break at 11:00a for the Kid’s Auction and then picks back up at 12:00p.


10:00a–11:00a* Art Auction
– Purchase fine art items such as paintings, photography, garden bells, sculptures, and more.


11:00a–12:00p* Kid’s Auction

– An auction where the kids get to bid. All children must be accompanied by an adult with a bidder number.


11:00a–1:00p Noon Meals
– Traditional Mennonite verenika (boiled or fried) served with cream gravy, ham, coleslaw, zwieback, and a drink.

– Your choice of a bbq chicken breast or a Windsor loin served with au gratin potatoes, green beans, roll, and a drink.


** Surplus Auction
– The surplus (leftover food) auction follows the general auction and will go until all items are sold.

MONDAY

8:00a–12:00p Fairground Cleanup
– Help us clean up from the sale. Volunteers are welcome for any amount of time you are able to help.

*Auctions will start at the listed time; however, length will vary depending on the number of items to sell.
